i believe what i’m doing is called a hiatus. within a couple of weeks, i will be backing up my posts, cancelling my hosting account, and setting up a landing page somewhere to forward my domain to.

i enjoy blogging, but it’s too much trouble to use my current phone, and so i feel as though my monthly hosting cost is a waste of money.

i highly recommend hostgator. i highly discourage the samsung gravity.

i may search around for a free host and move my blog, but i’ll probably just take it offline until we can get some kind of internet access at home.

it’s been real!

today is nathan’s friend aleah’s first birthday. we went to town earlier and got her a gift, and will be going to her party in a couple hours.

it’s hard to believe that she’s already a year old. even harder to believe that in one month and fifteen days my little guy will be a year old.

he has four teeth now. his top front teeth broke through saturday night. breastfeeding is still going well. i’m into this whole attachment parenting thing, and probably won’t wean him until he’s ready as long as he doesn’t bite me.

i’m seriously considering going to michigan next weekend. just me, nathan, and my granny.

not sure how nathan will do away from his daddy, or how i’ll do on my own for 24 hrs a day, but i guess we can see.

happy birthday, me!

today is my birthday. i’m 25 years old. i still feel like a kid, maybe 15. sometimes i’ll realize that i’m a wife and mom and have my own house and responsibility and i’m getting old.

and it’s kinda hard in some ways to grow up.

sometimes, i do grown up things or make decisions so responsible that i really feel like an adult. for example, i really wanted a sony ereader. but it’s not very practical for me so i asked for something much more mature and useful for my birthday:

a ceiling fan for our bedroom.

i don’t wanna let go yet

since the first night home from the hospital, nathan has been in bed with us. not a single night has passed without him.

i’ve known for a while that he was ready for his own bed. i know that we wake him up, and my reasons for keeping him in our bed are purely selfish.

the past couple of nights he’s crawled out of bed and slept on the floor until I picked him up. i guess it’s time. he’ll still be next to our bed, and free to join us whenever he wants. and if i’m wrong and he doesn’t want his own bed, i won’t hesitate to let him stay with us.

i’m really afraid that he’s really ready though. =(

spring is here again

i love this time of year. i like seeing little calves and kids and ducklings and goslings and fawns and so on. i like watching the trees transform from bare branches to a lucious green canopy, seemingly overnight for some trees. i like seeing flowers bloom and i don’t even mind the stormy weather because the next day usually provides for some great photos.

we’ve been going to the beach at sunset for photos lately. james has commented that i’m getting better and better at photography. i’m learning how to use post-processing to make the colors really vivid, like professionals. also i have a better camera now than i’ve ever had, so that makes it easier to get more great shots.

maybe i can get that nikon d3000 soon.

james made production at his new job! if he can keep working at the same rate, or better, he’ll start earning more than $9 per hour! we’re planning to get everything paid off and continue to live off $10 an hour, and set back the rest for building a house someday.

Welcome!
